For our 2026 Open Competitions. we hope you will appreciate the real improvements we have been making to our course, and we will be continuing to make things even better throughout the season.   We will have a new 9th tee this year, and importantly a new irrigation system to make sure that our tees, greens and aprons are as good as they can be.    We look forward to welcoming you back to Winterfield this year!

Please note that for our individual Opens, we have decided that we will be taking advantage of the opportunity given us by Scottish Golf to depart from the previous mandatory 95% Playing Handicap restrictions.  Full Course Handicaps will apply, with no restriction.  We hope that players will find this simpler to understand and apply,

Here is a list of our Opens for 2026.  Members can enter competitions now by booking through the Pro Shop, either in person or by calling on 01368 863562.  Visitors can book their place through the links opposite, or by contacting the club directly via phone or email. Make sure to check the competition dates, entry fees, and any specific requirements needed for registration.  Prizes for all Open Competitions will be paid out in the form of Shop Vouchers.

All entrants to Men’s Individual Open comps must be Males of Amateur status, and in possession of an official WHS Index.   CDH numbers must be provided on entry.  Entrants for the Seniors Open must be aged 55 or above on the day of the competition.  Maximum playing handicaps will apply – 28 for the Seniors Open and 24 for the Winter, Belhaven and St Margaret’s Opens.  Entrants with a higher Handicap Index can enter, but their playing handicaps will be restricted to the maximum for each competition.
